Full Sail University Bachelor’s Degree in Game Development

Full Sail University is located in Orlando, Florida. This school has been operating for over 30 years and has gained a well-deserved reputation as being one of the best media arts schools on the planet. Graduates from its programs have found work on films, noteworthy video games and for media companies.

Approximately 5,000 students are enrolled at Full Sail University in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs. People who choose to study at Full Sail attend lectures and labs for between 35-40 hours each week, over five or six days. The school doesn’t offer on-campus housing, but does have a Housing Coordinator who can provide assistance with finding somewhere to stay close to the Full Sail campus. The Housing Coordinator can also help students find a roommate, if they are interested in shared accommodation.

Students who choose to study Game Development on campus at Full Sail University can complete the requirements for a degree in 21 months. The program is taught by instructors who have real-world experience in the field of computer and video games. Graduates are well prepared for careers where they will be working in the fields of game design or development for games played on computers or consoles.

Courses include instruction on game prep, game level design, programming and Artificial Intelligence. Students also have the opportunity to work with other students who specialize in design, programming and art to develop a new game during their time at Full Sail.

Applying to Full Sail University

New classes start year-found at Full Sail University, and the school accepts application on a rolling basis. People who are passionate about their desire to work in the computer and video games industry who have completed the requirements for a high school diploma or a GED are invited to apply to Full Sail.

Prospective students can find an enrollment form online. They are required to pay an application or seat deposit fee to the school at this point in the process. Other materials, such as letters of recommendation can be forwarded to the school after the enrollment form has been submitted.
